Event: Peer Mentoring Kick-Off
Friday, November 20, 2020, 11:30am – 12:30pm PST
Peer mentoring groups among the ADVANCE faculty are a great source of support, feedback, and advice. Groups typically include 6-8 faculty at a similar career stage (e.g., pre-tenure or post-tenure), each of whom are from a different department here at UW. The groups use a peer mentoring model from the book Every Other Thursday.
ADVANCE will be holding peer mentoring group info session on the peer mentoring group format. There will be a chance to practice the format and do some real time problem solving. After November 20, the peer mentoring groups will be set up. Participants can still be placed in a group regardless of whether they attend the 11/20 kick off.
