Event: Faculty Hiring Virtual Workshop: Faculty Hiring - Effective Practices for Faculty Search Rubrics and Job Ads

This virtual workshop will include an overview of bias in evaluation and recommendations for effective practices for faculty search rubrics and job ads. Workshop participants will also work on faculty hiring evaluation rubrics, determine what they are looking for in successful job applicants, and tailor their job ad language and application materials to align with these expectations and evaluation criteria. In addition to providing an overview of effective practices throughout the various stages of the faculty hiring process, the workshop will include time to work together as a search committee, with other search chairs, or with other colleagues on these items.
