Event: "Beyond Time Management"
Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 12 – 1:30pm PST
The workshop, “Beyond Time Management,” will go beyond the tactical tips and tricks of typical time management workshops to examine how to live your life given the time you have rather than focusing solely on managing your time. It is so easy for early career faculty to feel overwhelmed and driven by the next deadline and the mountain of tasks and activities. This workshop gives everyone a chance to examine how focusing on what is important rather than urgent leads to more satisfying daily decisions and a calmer relationship with time. If you feel like you don’t have time to come to this workshop, perhaps that’s reason enough to come. You’ll walk away with tangible strategies from Steven Covey, Robert Boice, and others for managing your important tenure-track faculty and life obligations.
This interactive session will be facilitated by Dr. Joyce Yen, Director, UW ADVANCE, and Dr. Claire Horner-Devine, Director of Broader Impacts Leadership Development (BILD), College of the Environment.
