Event: Nancy Woods, Dean Emeritus of the School of Nursing and Professor Emeritus of Biobehavioral Nursing & Health Informatics
Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 12 – 1:30pm PDT
The April ADVANCE Mentoring-for-Leadership event will feature Nancy Fugate Woods, Dean Emeritus of the School of Nursing and Professor Emeritus of Biobehavioral Nursing & Health Informatics. Nancy Woods will share insights from several of her research studies on women’s health, including the Seattle Midlife Women’s Health Study, a longitudinal study of women during the menopausal transition and early postmenopause. Data from the Seattle Midlife Women’s Health Study supported development of a system for staging reproductive aging and helped understand the relationship between hormonal changes and symptoms related to menopause (see attached handout: Menopause Workplace Resource Guide for Women). She is currently volunteering to support a colleague who developed the website called Women Living Better, an evidence-based guide for women during perimenopause.
