Event: "A Chair's Role in Senior Faculty Careers"

This workshop will explore how chairs and other unit leaders can effectively engage and support senior faculty. Potential topics of discussion include reengaging senior faculty, helping senior faculty successfully transition from research-active to phasing out research activities, managing faculty retirements, encouraging senior faculty to discover new ways to contribute to the academic community, cultivating new roles for and expectations of senior faculty as departments evolve, etc.
