Event: "Taking the Pulse of Your Graduate Students' Experiences"

Would you like to improve your graduate student advising and mentoring skills? Have you ever wondered what your graduate students think about your advising and mentoring? Are you unsure about how to get feedback from your graduate students? If so, this quarter’s ADVANCE pre-tenure faculty workshop may be helpful.

This quarter’s workshop topic, “Taking the pulse of your graduate students’ experiences” will help you improve your relationships with your graduate students and increase effectiveness in your graduate student mentoring. Dr. Rebecca Neumann, Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Dr. Jim Borgford-Parnell, Associate Director and Instructional Consultant at the Center for Engineering Learning and Teaching (CELT), will share their ideas and insights about soliciting feedback from graduate students and assessing your mentoring skills.
