Connie Kravas, Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations, University of Washington
Connie Kravas is the University of Washington’s Vice President for
Development and Alumni Relations and President of the University of
Washington Foundation. As chief advancement officer for the
University, Connie has overall responsibility for planning,
managing, and directing the University’s fundraising program.
Prior to coming to the University of Washington, Connie served as
Vice Chancellor for University Advancement at the University of
California, Riverside, and held a variety of positions at
Washington State University.
Connie has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Pacific
Lutheran University, a master’s degree in sociology from Indiana
State University, and a Ph.D. in administration and supervision
from WSU. The Institute for Charitable Giving honored her in 1998
with its Major Gift Laureate in recognition of her lifetime
achievement in major gift fundraising and contributions to the
profession. She was named a WSU Women of the Year in 1996 and
received numerous awards from WSU for her commitment and
contributions to increasing diversity. Of the awards she has
received, the one that means the most to Connie was being named
“Mother of the Year” of the daughters’ high school.
