This lunch seminar, hosted by GO-MAP and ADVANCE, featuring Dr. Howard
Adams, focuses on multiple mentoring methods by and for advanced
(Phc/EdC)doctoral students and junior faculty. Much of what doc students
and junior faculty learn inside and outside the classroom and the office
is gained through conversation exchanges and group discussions with
peers and colleagues. The seminar is designed to facilitate greater and
more effective dialogue between and among advanced doc students and
junior faculty using a multiple mentoring methods system, including:

* The philosophy of mentoring
* Concepts of multiple mentoring methods
* Multiple/group mentoring
* Peer mentoring
* Roles and responsibilities to self and others
* Key strategies for forming, keeping, and advancing mentor
relationships with peers, and
* Action steps for getting started
