About this resource
This website has a form in which you can enter text and have it evaluated for gender bias. For example, you could put in the text from a letter of recommendation and the calculator will tell you how many words are female associated versus male associated. Could be a eye opening exercise to do to see if letters of recommendations used gender biased language.
Was made aware of this site via the AIM Network's email thread on letters of recommendation. This site was pointed out by Shannon McCoy at University of Maine re: tools we can use to avoid implicit bias in writing letters of recommendation.
