Mary Lidstrom Mary Lidstrom, (Microbiology & Engineering) was selected as one of 84 new members by National Academy of Sciences for distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Her work focuses on developing environmentally friendly and economically viable alternatives to chemical fuels."04/13

Anna KarlinAnna Karlin, (Computer Science & Engineering) was named as an Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Fellow for her contributions to the design and analysis of algorithms and their use in the study of systems design."12/12

Ginger ArmbrustGinger Armbrust, (Oceanography) was chosen for a Moore Foundation Marine Microbiology Initiative Investigator Award for her work on marine microbes."12/12

Sarah KellerSarah Keller, (Chemistry) was named an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow for her outstanding work in advancing science and its applications."11/12

Keiko ToriiKeiko Torri (Biology) was named an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow for her contributions to the field of plant development."11/12

Kim WoodrowKim Woodrow, (Bio Engineering) was honored with an National Institutes of Health High Risks High Rewards New Innovator Award. She will seek to develop nanomaterials that would protect against infections such as AIDS."9/12

 Coleen CarriganColeen Carrigan, (ADVANCE and Anthropology) was honored with an AAUW American Fellowship, an award that affords many of the nation's most competitive women scholars "the opportunity to become leading thinkers in their fields." 6/12

Joyce YenJoyce Yen, (ADVANCE) was recognized for her excellent leadership through the ADVANCE Center for Institutional Change with a University of Washington David B. Thorud Leadership Award. The award honors one staff member per year "who has demonstrated exceptional abilities to lead, serve, inspire, and collaborate with broad impact." 6/12
