Our featured guest is Dr. Karen DePauw, Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Dean of the Graduate School, Virginia Tech. Since August 1, 2002, Dr. Karen DePauw is the Vice Provost of Graduate Studies and Dean of the Graduate School at Virginia Tech. Previously at Washington State University, Dr. DePauw served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School from 1989 to 1997, interim Vice Provost for academic affairs, and afterward, Dean of the Graduate School from 1999 to 2002. DePauw holds a Ph.D. in kinesiology from Texas Woman's University, a Master of Science in special education from California State University - Long Beach, and a bachelors degree in sociology from Whittier College.
