About this resource

This article is an easily digestible description of new research indicating the gender bias within student evaluations in higher education. The article outlines some of the key findings (and links to the original resource) which makes it terrific to hand out to workshop attendees to quickly read and discuss in a think-pair-share fashion. We recommend that they then brainstorm ideas for how to combat the bias, educate chairs and promotion/tenure committees about the bias, and protect women and faculty of color from being evaluated with biased feedback.
